Kwara Basketball Association mourns Ajanah

THE Kwara Basketball Association has mourned the death of Kogi Chief Judge (CJ), Justice Nasiru Ajanah, who died on Sunday morning in Abuja after a brief illness.

Chairman, Kwara basketball association, Dr Joseph Adeyemo in a statement signed by the association’s Secretary, Bello Azeez, and made available to newsmen in Ilorin on Monday, described the news of the death of the CJ as shocking and sad.

“Justice Ajanah was our association patron, the position he held for a very long time; he will be remembered for his excellent services for the game.

“He was vibrant, a wise leader, patient, loving, and the visionary leader who always emphasized equality at the game.

“He was among the pioneers of Kwara basketball association and played for Kwara Falcons a very long time ago.

“He contributed a lot to Nigeria basketball through his annual Justice Ajanah Inter-Basketball competition in Kogi state,” he said.

Adeyemo in the statement said, “everyone’s thoughts are with the family and the people of Kogi state and we pray Almighty God gives everyone most especially his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss and wishes his soul peaceful rest.” (NAN)
