Late Ajimobi’s wife, Adelabu, Kola-Daisi eulogise Ladoja at 78

FLORENCE Ajimobi, President of Senator Abiola Ajimobi Foundation (SAAF),
has extolled the virtues of former Gov. Rashidi Ladoja as he celebrates 78th birthday.

The foundation president, who is also Wife of the late former Gov. Abiola Ajimobi, said in a statement on Sunday in Ibadan, that Ladoja, clocking the enviable age of 78 years, “is worthy of celebration”.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ladoja, the Otun-Olubadan of Ibadanland clocks 78 on Sunday.

According to her, Ladoja has contributed immensely to the development of Oyo State.

“He has mentored many aspiring politicians and the state has been the beneficiary of such statesmanship gesture.

“As Baba Ladoja celebrates today, we pray for continued protection and grace of the Almighty in his life. I pray that he will continue to enjoy good health,” she said.

Also, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the Accord governorship candidate in Oyo State, in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Femi Awogboro, described Ladoja as “one of the most sought after statesmen in Nigeria today”.

Adelabu described the former governor as a special breed as well as most influential leader in the state and beyond.

He prayed that God would preserve the first class Chemical Engineering graduate of the University of Liege, Belgium, to witness the enthronement of an Accord government in the state in 2023.

“Baba Ladoja is a leader with very deep intellectual endowment, huge depth of wisdom and commands respect across the country.

“Baba brought Accord to Oyo State about three months to the 2011 elections and the party was widely accepted by the people of the state, because they trust implicitly the figure behind the party.

“We, in today’s Accord, are taking off from where Baba stopped and by the grace of the Almighty Allah with huge support we enjoy across the state, Accord will form the next government in Oyo State,” Adelabu said.

He said that Accord government would not despise the wisdom of the elders, adding they would create Oyo State Elders Consultative Forum to guide them in taking Oyo State to where it ought to be.

Also, Mr Kolapo Kola-Daisi, Oyo South Senatorial candidate of Accord, described Ladoja “as a great leader who puts the people first”.

Kola-Daisi said that lifestyle of the elderstatesman, as well as achievements in life, were worthy of emulation.

According to him, Ladoja remained a nationalist and great asset to the country at large.

Kola-Daisi prayed for more exploits for Ladoja in the service of his fatherland.

“Your lifetime of service, leadership that puts people first and huge contributions to Oyo State’s progress, as well as growth, are all great examples.

“As you mark another birthday in your distinguished life, I pray that the Almighty Allah gives you great health and further wisdom to make bigger impact in our state and across the nation at large,” he said.(NAN)
