THE Lugard TV has awarded an internship opportunity to Khadijat Blessing-Mohammed, the top graduating student of Federal University Lokoja’s Department of Mass Communication.

The gesture was made on Thursday, in collaboration with the Kogi State Government, demonstrating its commitment to nurturing young talents and providing hands-on experience in the media industry.

Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser on Media to Kogi State Governor, welcomed Blessing-Mohammed at the Government House, marking the commencement of her internship.

Isah, in his remarks, said the offer was part of the commitments of Gov. Ahmed Ododo to reward excellence by nurturing young talents and providing them with hands-on experience and the enabling environment to grow and succeed as professionals in the media industry.

He emphasised that the opportunity would not only provide invaluable experience and practical media knowledge but also allowed her to work alongside media professionals in Kogi.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report that the internship aims to equip Blessing-Mohammed with the skills necessary to excel in the media industry, aligning with the university’s goals of integrating theory and research with practice.

Responding, Blessing-Mohammed expressed appreciation for the gesture and promised to justify the opportunity in the course of working at the Government House Media Centre as an intern.
