GOVERNORS of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the National Caretaker Committee led by Senator Ahmed Makarfi may boycott tomorrow’s presidential declaration of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state scheduled to hold in Abuja tomorrow, INDEPENDENT has learnt.

A credible source in the party who spoke with our correspondent said many of the key stakeholders in the party have decided not to attend the event in order to show neutrality.

“ It will be unfair for the governors to attend the declaration. Doing so, may imply that they are supporting Fayose, who is the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum. They need to show neutrality since other aspirants are also in the race. – Independent

That is why majority of the governors have decided to stay away from the event. The same also applies to members of the PDP Caretaker Committee led by Senator Ahmed Makarfi” our source said.
