GOVERNOR Seyi Makinde of Oyo State commended Peter Obi, Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, lauding his display of sportsmanship and remarkable maturity throughout and after the 2023 presidential elections.

At the 12th Annual Zik Lecture Series in Awka, themed “Reclaiming Zik’s World: Claiming Justice and Africa’s Sustainable Development,” Makinde drew parallels between Obi and Nnamdi Azikiwe, highlighting Obi’s commitment to the nation’s unity despite unfavorable election outcomes.

Makinde emphasized the importance of such conduct, stressing its vital role in Nigeria’s progress. He urged Nigerians to rise above tribal associations, emphasizing the need for collective contributions toward national development and unity.
