The defendant, who resides at Garki, Abuja had pleaded guilty to the charge of theft by servant, but begged for mercy.

The Prosecution counsel, Olarewaju Osho told the court that the complainant (victim), Tina Chekwa of Asokoro, Abuja made the report at the Asokoro Police Station on Dec. 16.

“The complainant alleged that he employed the defendant as a security guard in her residence at the above mentioned address to help and secure her property.

“But instead of securing my property, the defendant dishonestly stole four units split Hisense Air Conditioners, one unit split LG Air Conditioner.

“Others include, three units split Media Air Conditioners and two big pots, all amounting to N1.3m.

“However, during police investigation, four of the above stolen Air conditioners were recovered, while efforts to recover the remaining, proved abortive”, Osho told the court.
