Ubale Musa, a correspondent of Deutsche Welle, who was expelled from the Villa by the President Goodluck Jonathan administration, has been re-issued with a new Press Villa Pass as a State House correspondent
PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, June 29, ordered the re-issuance of Presidential Press Villa Pass to Ubale Musa, a correspondent of Deutsche Welle, who was expelled from the Villa by the President Goodluck Jonathan administration.
Femi Adesine, special adviser on media and publicity to the president, disclosed this while presenting the re-issued press pass to Musa at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday, June 29. Adesina said that Musa’s re-accreditation as a State House correspondent was in keeping with Buhari’s commitment to correct the wrongs of the past.
“Mr Ubale Musa’s accreditation was wrongly withdrawn. To redress the wrong done to him by the withdrawal, we have returned his Villa Press Pass to him so that he can continue his work without hindrance,’’ he said.
In his remarks, Musa thanked the president and his media team for restoring his accreditation. He promised that he would continue to do his work objectively, professionally and with due regards to the ethics of journalism.
