Babafemi Ojudu, journalist, former senator and former managing editor, The News magazine, 56, March 27. He was educated at Emmanuel Primary School, Ado-Ekiti, 1967-1972; Ado Grammar School, Ado-Ekiti, 1973-1977; Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, 1980-1984; University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos, 1986-1987. Ojudu worked for The Guardian newspapers and African Concord, 1987-1988. He is a co-founder of The News magazine. In 2011, he was elected senator representing Ekiti State under the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN. He was appointed special adviser on political matters by President Muhammadu Buhari in January 2016.
