Patrick Okedinachi Utomi, political economist, 61, February 6. Born in Kaduna, Kaduna State, he was educated at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, and Indiana University, Bloomington, United States. He was special assistant to Alex Ekwueme, former vice president; deputy managing director, Volkswagen of Nigeria; chairman, Patito Communications Limited, and Utomap Holdings Limited; director, Lagos Business School. He was presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the April 2007 presidential elections.
