Gabriel Agbonaehor Osaseli Onobun, civil engineer and former commissioner for works and transport, Edo State, 79, January 17. Born in Iruekpen, Edo State, he was educated at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, 1963-1966. He worked with the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi and Bendel State University, now Ambrose Alli University, before he went into private practice and formed GEVSAC Nigeria. Onobun was appointed commissioner for works and transport, Edo State in 1994. He is a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers, Nigerian Society of Civil Engineers, NSE, and Council of Registered Engineers, COREN.
