John Momoh, administrator and broadcaster, 59, July 1. Born in Lagos, he was educated at Thompson Foundation/Centre for Journalism Studies and the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK, and University of Lagos, 1988-1990. Momoh started his career as antiquities assistant, National Museums and Monuments, Lagos, 1975; newsreader/announcer, Ogun State Radio, 1977-1979; announcer/presenter, Nigerian Television Authority, NTA; newscaster, Voice of Nigeria, VON, 1979-1982; reporter/newscaster, NTA, 1982-1992. Momoh became the managing director of Channels Incorporated Limited, Lagos, after resigning from the NTA in 1992. Momoh is also a recipient of the Nigeria Union of Journalists’ NUJ Newscaster of the Year, 1991.
