Mike Adenuga Jnr, businessman and industrialist, 64, April 29. Born in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, he was educated at Ibadan Grammar School, Ibadan; North Western State University, Oklahoma, US, and Peace University, New York, majoring in business administration with emphasis on marketing. He is the chairman/chief executive of Globacom; director, Consolidated Oil. He was a former director, Newswatch Communications Limited and president, Nigeria Association of Oil Explorationists. Adenuga holds an honorary doctorate awarded by Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye, in 1992. He was awarded the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, GCON, by President Goodluck Jonathan in 2012.
