MOHAMMED Buba Marwa, retired soldier, administrator, businessman and politician, 64, September 9. He was educated at the Nigerian Military School, Zaria; Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna; Armour School, Pakistan; Nigerian Army Signal School, Apapa; Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, India; Advanced Armoured Corps Centre and School, Ahmadnagar, India; Command and Staff College, Jaji; University of Pittisburgh; Harvard Univeristy, USA. Marwa was at various times, troop leader, squadron captain, squadron leader and adjutant. He was aide-de-camp to Theophilus Danjuma, when the latter was chief of army staff; he was appointed military governor of Borno State, 1990 and later, defence adviser, Nigerian Permanent Mission, UN headquarters, New York. He was  military governor of Lagos State, 1996-1998, and director of the defunct Albarka Airline. He was a governorship aspirant under the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, in the 2012 governorship election in Adamawa State. He is also a governorship aspirant in the 2014 governorship by-election in Adamawa State, on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
