Nigerian-American gospel songstress, Tomi-Favoured Alesh, on Saturday said her recent single titled “Jehovah” was to encourage people going through challenges to trust solely in God.

The award winning musician, author, public speaker and wife to dynamic Saxophonist, Seyi Alesh, disclosed this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

She advised people to focus on God in time of adversity and desist from worry.

She noted that her life-goal and desire was to draw souls to Jesus for salvation and worship God unswervingly in spirit and truth.

“Jehovah’ was produced to bless the lives of people who are going through challenges at different points in their life; hopefully it encourages people to put their trust in Jehovah God.

“A difficult situation with a close family member that got me worried for them and praying to the Lord inspired the song.

“At the end of the situation, I realised that God is still God in spite of whatever happens, we all just need to give God the praise because He is great.

“Hopefully folks are advised to look away from problems and instead to God as they lift up hands and declare ‘Jehovah Idi Ebube,” she said.

The musician said she produced the initial version of ‘Jehovah’ while its remix was produced by Dmaster Utchay and live-recorded at Song23production Studios, Lagos.

Alesh said she released her first album, “I Am Tomi Favoured”, in 2012 and has been releasing songs ever since.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Alesh had featured alongside top gospel artistes like Nathaniel Bassey; Tope Alabi (Awamaridi); Pastor Olumide Iyun, (Jesus no higher name); TY Bello – (Passover (Tafi); Femi Okunuga (Your Love); Psalm Ebube (Chibuike); Moses Efret (Unlimited Grace); Gates Praise (Hope of Nations), among others.

She had also ministered during annual Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Marathon Messiah’s Praise concert in Lagos, Live it Loud, the Annual RCCG Canada National Youth Conference.

Likewise during the annual Bringing our Worship (BOW) Concert, in Houston Texas USA, Declare His Praise at RCCG the Throne Room, Abuja, and numerous churches across the United States, Canada and United Kingdom. (NAN)
