Nasarawa lawmaker pledges all inclusive leadership

SOLOMON Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has pledged to run an inclusive leadership for the overall development of the constituency.
Akwashiki, who is the Chairman House Committee on Public Accounts, made the pledge while playing host to Tiv community of Tudu Gwandara, Gayam ward in Lafia on Friday.
He said that all inclusive leadership would not only promote peace but will enhance unity and development of the constituency.
The lawmaker appreciated the Tiv community for the visit and assured them of his commitment to providing the dividends of democracy to all the communities in his constituency.
“I sincerely appreciate you for this visit, we have been living together with Tivs for a long time
“I have also enjoyed the vote of the Tiv community of Tudun-Gwandara during the last election.
“Let’s partner together and continue to live in peace for the growth of our constituency and the state at large,” he said
Akwashiki called on them and other people of the state to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
He also called on the people to support the leadership of the House under Danladi Jatau to enable him deliver on the task ahead of him.
Earlier, the Leader of the delegation, Mr Angur Emmanuel, said that the visit was to identify with Akwashiki and to assure him of their support.
He appreciated the lawmaker for the good work he is doing for the people of Lafia Central and called for sustenance.
He, however, appealed to the lawmaker to carry the Tiv community along in his developmental activities. (NAN)
