Nasarawa NUJ congratulates Muslim faithful on Eid-el-fitr
General News
THE Nasarawa State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated Muslims the world over on the occasion of the 2021 Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr. Sunday John, the NUJ Secretary in Nasarawa, and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Lafia.
The union, according to the statement, felicitated with the government and the citizens of the state on this important spiritual engagement.
The union called on Muslims to use this opportunity for sober reflection on their individual relationships with God.
The union urged Muslims to pray for unity, mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence, and religious tolerance amongst all citizens.
It also prayed that God in His infinite mercy will intervene in the security and other problems bedeviling the country and restore the lost values amongst Nigerians.
The union, therefore, appealed to people of good conscience to join hands with the government to defeat the evil going on in the country. (NAN)
