THE Nigerian Communication Commission, NCC, has unveiled a telecommunications handbook at its annual conference to commemorate World Consumer Rights Day 2021 on Monday, March 15.
The very informative and educative book captured the necessary things consumers need to know in the telecommunication industry without ambiguity.
At the event tagged “Tackling Plastic Pollution” Ighoovie Majemite, chairman, Industry Consumer Advisory Forum, ICAF, – NCC, listed the organization as one of the players that have helped NCC with its numerous achievements in the past and commended the commission for its new initiative.

“In achieving her goals, so many players are involved and one of these players is the industry consumer advisory forum (ICAF). It is an advisory body set up by NCC to look at thematic issues in the telecommunication business in Nigeria. ICAF bandies these thematic issues and advises on implementable resolutions that are forwarded to NCC management. ICAF has provided many implemented resolutions like DND, Porting of phone lines, unused Data rollover, and others.

“Today, in the course of this event, we shall be unveiling another ICAF initiative in collaboration with NCC… The Telecommunication Handbook.”

He thanked Isah Ibrahim Pantami, minister of communication and digital technology, and Prof. Umar Danbatta, executive vice-chairman of NCC, all the members of ICAF and staff of the Consumer Affair Bureau, CAB,  for their efforts towards the success achieved so far.

Recall that the NCC, is charged with the regulation of the telecommunication industry in Nigeria.
