New Hama Bachama urges peace, tolerance

The new Hama Bachama and Paramount ruler of the Bachama Kingdom in Adamawa, Mr Daniel Ismail has called for peace and tolerance among his people.

Ismail made the call in a statement issued by Anselm Kyauta, his Press Secretary on Thursday in Yola.

The monarch urged his people to embrace togetherness irrespective of tribal or religious differences.

He said that it was only when through peace and stability that development and good standard of living could be enhanced.

“I constantly assured my colleagues traditional rulers that I am committed to the peace enterprise of the state and the country as a whole,’’ he stated.

The royal father promised the businessmen and investors of a conducive environment to tap from the available resources in the kingdom.

“As Hama Bachama, I will continue to promote the mutual relationship between the Bachama nation and sojourners, who chose our domain as an abode,’’ he said.

The monarch warned the youths against crimes, violence and restiveness traits that he identified as detrimental to the development of any society.

He said that the kingdom had set up committees to address the human capital challenges for the betterment of the people.

“My doors are always open and I welcome developmental partners to promote peace and economy of our people.’’

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ismail was appointed on Aug. 17 following the death of his predecessor, Honest Irmiya on June 28. (NAN)
