MR Mustapha Talba, the new Jigawa Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has assumed duty in Dutse.

CSC Adamu Shehu, the state NSCDC spokesperson said this when he spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Dutse.

Shehu said that Talba took over from Alhaji Garba Mohammed who has been redeployed to the headquarters of the corps in Abuja.

“Following the recent reshuffling by the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Mr Ahmed Audi in order to rejig, reposition and reinvigorate the Corps, the command received a new Commandant Mr Mustapha Talba.

“His redeployment made him the 12th State Commandant in the state since the formation of the NSCDC in 2003.

“Prior to his deployment, he was the NSCDC Commandant in Adamawa and had served in various capacities in many states, including Bauchi, Bayelsa, Birnin Kebbi, Kaduna and Kano,” he said.

He said the new commandant was a seasoned administrator with vast knowledge in security management.

“The new commandant tasked officers and men of the command to cooperate with him and rededicate themselves to their assigned responsibilities,” he said. (NAN)
