THE Caretaker President-General of Nkwelle Ezunaka, Mr Wilfred Okafor says the Governor-elect; Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo is a reliable and focused leader.

``He will take the state to the Promised Land, just as he did when he was the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as governor,’’ Mr Okafor said in an interview at Nkwelle in Oyi Local Government Area (LGA), near Onitsha.

He commended Gov. Willie Obiano, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and Ndi Anambra for the team work that produced Prof. Soludo as the Governor-elect.

``Gov. Obiano performed well and the incoming will continue from where he stopped because he is a bright person, we all know what he did at the centre.

``We all worked for the victory of APGA. I delivered Nkwelle Ward 1 and 11 and it is now left for us to support him for continuity and betterment of the state.’’

The Acting PG urged other candidates who did not make it to join hands to make Anambra better, irrespective of one's party because ``in times like this, a winner must emerge’’.

He adds: ``I would like them to re-unite and forget about all pre-election issues for the betterment of the Anambra’’.

Mr Okafor pleaded with the incoming Governor to remember Nkwelle as they were being ravaged by erosion, which he said noted that the present administration did their best.

``We also need security and almost all the Village roads in the community need touching and more importantly, an issue of Igweship which he said a move had been made but were stopped because of a ban imposed to stage the Governorship polls.

``We don't have a traditional ruler for 21 years and we need one, so we can benefit from the democracy dividends just as the other communities in the state.

``As a caretaker PG, a lot has been achieved, we set p a peace committee in Nkwelle; families, villages have made efforts at peace-making.

``My tenure in this capacity has been extended to Jan. 29, 2022; my first tenure ended in October.

``We worked hard on security and Nkwelle is now quiet but we need the assistance of the Government for the provision of security gadgets, logistics like cars and motorcycles.

``With these and other things, we have at hand, Nkwelle will be a better place.’’
