Anambra people, associations congratulate Prof Soludo on his victory

MANY individuals and associations have congratulated Prof Charles Soludo on his victory at the governorship election on November 6, 2021. In his congratulatory message, the Onitsha South Security Commander, Ifeanyi Eziechina, described Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s emergence as governor-elect as a divine mandate.

“He is the type of person the state has been longing for, and the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, is our own.

``APGA is the only party the Igbo man can call our own,’’ he said.

In his message, the President-General, Ochanja Central Market, Nelson Ojukwu, described the governor-elect, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, as ``man of the people’’.

``I am happy for him because he won the hearts of all residents in Onitsha in spite of all that happened that threatened the election.

``I thank God for being all and all. I thank him also for making the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, to achieve victory, irrespective of decamping by some party members.

``I urge the governor-elect to stand strongly because a lot of work will need to be done, so that he will be the man after the heart of Ndi Anambra.

``The governor, Willie Obiano, known popularly as `Akpokuodike Aguleri’, did marvelously well. He is a man with a heart of gold that accommodates everybody, I must commend him highly for all his efforts in bringing the state to the present level.

``So, let the incoming governor try as much as possible to do more by starting on our roads, which is one of his promises during the campaigns.

``All the access roads into our different markets are in deplorable conditions and the people will love him for that,’’ he said.

For the President-General, Akpo Development Association, ADA, Henry C Dim, Ndi Anambra needs commendation for their civility and doggedness in coming out en masse during the just-concluded governorship polls.

``Pockets of violence across Anambra State, a few days to the election day on Nov. 6, put questions in the minds of many on the success of the election.

``The election has come and gone successfully. Congratulations to every Onye Anambra for being a part of the success story. We are indeed the Light of the Nation," he said.

In his message, the immediate past chairman, New Auto Spare Parts Market, Nkpor, Emmanuel Ukoh, congratulated the governor-elect, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, his Deputy, Onyeka Ibezim, describing their victory as an act of God.

Ukoh also applauded the people of Anambra state for successfully electing another governor that will steer the state for the next four years.

He said that the outcome of the poll was a true representation of the minds of Ndi Anambra, stressing that the winner, Prof. Charles Soludo, was the most credible among the candidates that vied for the position.

He pledged the support of the traders to the incoming administration of Soludo, pointing out that they had never been found wanting in the discharge of their civic responsibilities.

He enjoined the people of Idemili North in particular and Anambra state in general to continue to support the government in its efforts to deliver good governance to the people.

He declared: ``no government can succeed without the support of the people’’.
