Rt. Rev. Stephen Adegbite, Bishop of Ikeja Methodist Diocese, has warned students against bullying, saying the mission has zero tolerance for such act in its schools.

He gave the warning at the Igbobi College Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols in Lagos on Sunday night.

Adegbite, one of the Supervising Proprietors of the school, and Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter, gave the Christmas Message at the event.

“We’ll never condone indiscipline in our schools,” he said, warning students that the mission would not compromise its standards.

The Bishop said that if any student was found involved in bullying in its schools, such a person would face the full disciplinary process.

Adegbite described what occurred at Dowen College as unfortunate.

On the season, he said that Christmas is a time to be joyful because Christ brought hope, peace and joy to mankind.

The bishop wished the families present a merry Christmas and happy new year in advance.

He prayed that the new year would be a more glorious one for all of them.

Adegbite also prayed that the Omicron variant of COVID-19 would not get to them.

In a vote of thanks, Mr Foluso Philips, Chairman, Board of Governors of the school, thanked the bishop for his presence.

He also wished the school, parents and old boys a merry Christmas and happy new year in advance.

The school choir thrilled the attendees with special songs and carols at the event.

The 90th anniversary celebration logo of the school was also unveiled at the programme.
