BABA Shehu, the Chairman, Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has urged women and other Nigerians to embrace entrepreneurial skills to make them self-reliant.
According to him, this will also enable them to contribute their quota to the development of the country.
Shehu made this known while speaking with newsmen on Friday in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
He said that if women could embrace different entrepreneurial skills, it would not only improve their standard of living and that of their family members but would also promote peace in the society.
“My administration will continue to give priority to the welfare of women and other people of this area,” he said.
Shehu also urged the women to ensure the proper upbringing of their children in a Godly way.
He called on Nigerians to give adequate attention to the education of their children considering its importance to societal development.
The chairman called on the people of the area and others in the state to continue to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration beyond 2023 in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Shehu urged them to continue to be law-abiding, respect constituted authorities and live peacefully with one another irrespective of their affiliations.
“Peace is priceless and non-negotiable, it is the necessary requirement for the development of every society, as no nation will achieve speedy development without peace,’’ he said
