A Member representing Daura in the Katsina State House of Assembly, Alhaji Nasir Yahaya, has embarked on the construction of twoblocks of classrooms to help the deaf.

Yahaya is building the classrooms at the Deaf Institute in his constituency.

He is also constructing an office and a store in the institute.

Yahaya made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Daura.

According to the lawmaker, the construction would improve the abilities of children who are deaf or cannot communicate properly.

We must come together to bring meaningful education for the deaf in the country, he said.

Yahaya said that people living with disabilities must be cared for. (NAN)
