CHURCHES, Mosques, industrialists, civil society groups and philanthropists have been urged to join forces with governments at all levels to create employment opportunities, for youths.

“This will help them, as leaders of tomorrow at the grassroots to be gainfully engaged in profitable ventures, than being agents of risk and self-destructions,’’ Stella Blaize, a top non-governmental organisation, NGO, leader, said.

Founder, ‘Maximizing Girls Potential’, an NGO made the call while speaking to newsmen in Awka.

She expressed displeasure at use of youths for nefarious violent activities.

Blaize, then, enjoined youths, especially those in the northern parts of Nigeria to receive continuous and effective orientations on ethical and moral values of the country.

“All politicians, captains of industries, Church and Islamic leaders and other stakeholders should join efforts at creating platforms for effective youth orientation.

“This will go a long way to educate them on the need for peaceful co-existence and socio-economic growth of the country,’’ Blaize said.

She, however, called on the churches to look into their overwhelming interest in money-making and provide selfless help to youths, so they could be focused and determined to achieve their visions.
