…restores 275000 barrels of oil production daily
THE Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has intervened to settle the rift between Total Energies and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association, PENGASSAN, and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG.
Sequel to this, both PENGASSAN and NUPENG have agreed to end their strike and immediately restore production of 275,000 barrels of oil per day.
A communique issued at the end of the peace meeting chaired by Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, executive vice president, Upstream, NNPCL, the feuding parties commit to the framework for resolving the issues that led to the industrial action.
The communique was signed by Matthieu Bouyer, managing director of Total Energies, Festus Osifo, president of PENGASSAN and Williams Akporeha, president of NUPENG.
Eyesan and Bala Wunti, chief upstream investment officer, NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services, (NUIMS), Victor Bandele, deputy managing director, Total Energies witnessed the event.
