THE Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation, NTDC, Southeast Zonal Delegates say they want partnership with the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artworks, Culture and Tourism in areas of mutual interests.

The delegates made the request while being received by the Anambra State Commissioner, Christian Madubuko at the Ministry’s Conference Room at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka.

The Southeast Zonal Coordinator of NTDC, Annette Chioma Ibe, noted that partnership with the state would aid the promotion and marketing of some tourist sites and festivals to National and international tourists.

“We will also engage the youth on skills acquisition programmes that will make them self-reliant; organise medical outreach to enlighten the people on proper healthcare.’’

According to her, the NTDC partnered with some states and recently organised World Tourism Day 2020 at Eziagu Waterfalls in Enugu State.

“We want to partner the ministry to organise similar events in Anambra State,’’ she said.

She urged the Ministry to write to NTDC headquarters whenever they require their presence for events.

Madubuko, while responding, hinted that Anambra State celebrates several festivals and has many tourist sites that require partnership to develop and showcase to the World.

“We want to develop our tourist sites to generate revenue to the state, attract foreign tourists as well as investors,’’ he said.
