THREE promoted police officers serving at the Anambra State Government House have been decorated on June 4.

The decoration ceremony which took place at the EXCO Chambers, Government House, Awka attracted virtually all service chiefs in the state as well as relations and friends.

The promoted officers are Chinedu Aniagbaoso, a superintendent of Police, the chief security officer to the governor, who was promoted to chief superintendent of Police and Kennedy Otti, guards commander at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, who was elevated to the post of deputy superintendent of Police.

Also decorated was Felicia Elechi, a sergeant, the orderly to the governor’s wife, promoted inspector.

Performing the ceremony, Governor Willie Obiano urged the officers to uphold integrity as their watchdog and avoid obnoxious acts, capable of defaming the image of the force.

The governor described the promotion as well-deserved because of their dedication and commitment to duty.

He congratulated them, saying, the promotion would serve as motivation to other officers and men in the state.

He, however, urged them to be hard working and imbibe team spirit in their various assignments.

Garba Umar, the state commissioner of Police, urged the officers not to waver in their loyalty to authority but to see the promotion as a call for more dedication.
