10 ships arrive Lagos ports with petrol, other commodities

A total of 10 ships laden with various products, including petrol are at the Lagos ports waiting to berth, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) announced on Thursday.

The NPA disclosed in its daily “Shipping Position” made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that eight of the vessels were waiting to berth with petrol.

It said that another two ships would berth with diesel and bulk fertiliser.

The Shipping Position said that 38 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports between March 29 and April 21.

“The expected ships are carrying buck wheat, containers, steel products, container, frozen fish, butane, bulk sugar, buck wheat, empty containers, butane, soya beans, base oil, crude palmolein, bulk fertiliser, general cargo and petrol.’’
