Trump Talks Regime Change in Nigeria in 2019

A statement from the United States Government caught my attention this morning, I didn’t miss its emphasis and language, the statement said in reference to 2019 elections in Nigeria, “we are focusing on how to do a peaceful transition and a democratic transition for Nigeria”. I thought the language was unusual.

Previous governments of the United States, Obama’s for example would say, “We want to see free and fair elections in Nigeria”. Study the language closely; it is clear the Trump administration has transition at the heart of the 2019 elections. And what does transition mean, “The process of changing from one state or condition to another”. That’s the simple brutal truth.

I have no doubt the United States Government has regime change on its mind. The worsening Security, Economy and Corruption in Nigeria is bothering the US. The US is not listening to the propaganda coming from Lai Mohammed’s table; it is listening to the international community and its partners. And this is what the International Community is saying, according to IMF Nigeria has become poorer under Buhari. Transparency International says Nigeria has become more corrupt under Buhari. According to CNN the kidnap of the Dapachi girls was a national disgrace. Security has become worst under Buhari.

Simply put, Nigeria’s dilapidated state has become a destabilising factor in the West African sub region and that is a major concern for the United States Government. With Boko Haram rejuvenated and armed Fulani Herdsmen terrorising and slaughtering whole communities, Nigeria has become a potential hot bed for the recruitment and the launch pad for terror across the world. Under Buhari’s government Nigeria has become a direct security threat to the interest of the United States on the African continent. Another 4 years of Buhari from 2019 to 2023 might prove too expensive and too risky, it’s little wonder therefore, why the US government has refused to hand over warplanes to the Nigerian Government after they have been paid for and bought, the US has no confidence in Buhari and wants to hand the weapons over to a new government in 2019. And the only way the US can check Nigeria’s growing security threat is by way of a peaceful transitional democratic process, with the support of an impoverished electorate who are in the majority, who can’t wait to see Buhari’s back.

Before Buhari’s supporters jump on me I will advise them to look up the word ‘transition’ , except they want to give it a different meaning, It means to, ‘change, move, changeover, shift, switch”. Need I say more?

The White man has a way of speaking which the black man has not fully mastered. A White man states the obvious in such a way that he hopes you’ll understand what he’s talking about but if you choose to give it a different interpretation – he will also agree with you,   but still execute his plans, shrugging his shoulders when it’s all done and dusted he’ll say to you, “ I thought you got the message…”

In 2015 Buhari was the United States favourite and choice, in fact one can say it was the dread of the United States that compelled Jonathan to concede quickly without a legal contest. However under Buhari’s government according to the United States Congress – Nigeria has become the most dangerous place to live as a Christian. And while the congressmen will not be supporting any particular candidate – it is obvious who they will not be supporting. Fact sheet – a Christian in present day war torn Syria is much safer than a Christian in Nigeria. Why should they support Buhari?

If I was Buhari I wouldn’t look for an English teacher to help me look up the different meanings of the word ‘Transition’, I will get the message use style and give my Party some fangled out excuse and step aside from second term chorus. At the end of the day the choice is in Buhari’s hands.

But Trump has said it loud and clear, 2019 is the year of TRANSITION no longer Change.

Get your PVC’s ready! And let us see how Kano will award Buhari 10 million votes in 2019 – now that we know the United States will be watching!

US STATE DEPARTMENT

The department said over two decades ago, the number of countries in Africa with really democratically elected government were really very few – only three or four.

It said, however, now we had over two dozen African countries with democratically elected governments and which are hopefully not going to have transitions in government through coup d’etats and other illegal methods.

“As we look at the 20 elections, obviously Nigeria, though it’s not this year – it’s going to be next year – that really is a major priority focus, because that’s going to be the third most populous country in the world by 2050.

“It has really very complex political issues and ethnic and tribal issues and security issues,

“And that’s an area that we really are focusing on how to do a peaceful transition, a democratic transition, but more important is how to hold governments accountable to the people,” the state department said.

  1. Seeing the headline of your article one would have thought it would have been substantiated from someone who is neutral.
Ironically, you focused more on the language used by the whiteman which could be misconstrued, and from your “Fact Sheet” here you are making a sentimental statement comparing the suffering of Christians in Nigeria and Syria; seeming not to understand that Christians in Syria are embedded within the general population and collective pay the price of the war in Syria. Is Syria safer than Nigeria as it stands? You may want to analyse well before sprueing out lies for facts.

  2. Really? You must have your brain right there in your feet! You walk on them!
