Oyo State High Court begins 2020 annual vacation

THE Oyo State High Court will begin the 2020 annual vacation on July 16. Justice Munta Abimbola, the state Chief Judge, disclosed in a statement on Wednesday in Ibadan.

Abimbola said that the annual vacation which starts on July 15, will end on Sept. 10.

“In exercise of the power conferred on me by paragraph 4(b) of order 45 of the High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2010 and by virtue of all powers enabling in that behalf.

” I, Abimbola Munta, Chief Judge of Oyo State do hereby appoint the period beginning on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, and ending on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, both dates inclusive, as an annual vacation of the High Court of Justice of Oyo State of Nigeria,” she said.

The Chief Judge further said that courts shall remain open during the period to hear civil action, bail applications, and enforcement of Fundamental Human Rights.

“During the period, courts shall remain open, civil action, bail applications and enforcement of Fundamental Human Rights cases may be heard.

“Further, where any action needs expeditious hearing and the judge at the request of all the parties concerned, agrees to hear any such actions, same shall also be heard,” the chief judge said. (NAN)
