Pakistan on Monday condemned the attack at a university in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul, resulting in loss of lives and injuries to many more.
At least 19 people were killed and 22 others injured as a group of militants attacked Kabul University on Monday, Tareq Arian, a spokesman of the Interior Ministry of Afghanistan said.
“This act of terrorism is particularly despicable as it targeted an institution of learning,’’ the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
“We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.
“Our thoughts and prayers are also with the Afghan people in this hour of grief and sorrow,’’ the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The statement said that Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and will continue to support a peaceful and stable Afghanistan. (Xinhua/NAN)
