FOREIGN Minister of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed in Ramallah, on Thursday, the Israeli plan of annexing large parts of the West Bank.

Safadi, who arrived in Ramallah earlier on Thursday, told a news briefing, after meeting with Abbas that he conveyed a letter from the Jordanian king related to the ongoing coordination between Jordan and Palestine.

He affirmed that “the Israeli annexation plan will kill the two-state solution and undermine all the basics that the peace process depended on’’.

Meanwhile, Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Reyad al-Malki, said at the joint briefing that the meeting between Safadi and Abbas focused on how to prevent the Israelis from implementing its annexation plan.

“We discussed the coordination of the joint Jordanian-Palestinian steps to achieve our major goal, which is preventing Israel from implementing its annexation plan,’’ said al-Malki.
