NCC’s executive vice-chairman pays condolence visit to El-Rufai

UMAR Garba Danbatta, the executive vice chairman and chief executive officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, on Wednesday, January 23 joined other eminent Nigerians to pay a condolence visit to Nasir El-Rufai, governor of Kaduna State, on the death of Aliyu Rufai, his elder brother.

Pictures of the visit were posted on the commission’s twitter handle.

The deceased, a retired air vice marshal, died in the early hours of Saturday, January 19, in Abuja. He was born on November 10, 1948 in Zaria, Kaduna State and was commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force in 1972.

Aliyu retired in 2002 after a meritorious military career.

He is survived by Safiya Rufai, his wife, six children, brothers and sisters, including Governor El-Rufai and Bashir Ahmad El-Rufai.
