THE patriarch of Oluwaye Compound of Ibadan, Oyo State is dead. Lasisi Bolarinwa Abolude Ojewale died in the early hours of Sunday, September 4, after a brief illness. He was 101 years old.
The late patriarch was born in Ibadan in 1915. He was educated in Lagos. he later returned to Ibadan and trained as motor mechanic. He was also a businessman and contractor. LBO, as he fondly called by his friends, was a socialite and a philanthropist.
The late patriarch is survived by widows, many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His first son, Kayode Ojewale, is a businessman based in the United States. Shalewa Sanni, his first daughter and second child, is a businesswoman in Lagos. His second son and third child of the family is Olu Ojewale, general editor at Realnews.
The late patriarch has been buried according to Muslim rites. The final burial programme is to be announced by the family soon.
