SENATOR Bala Mohammed, former minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has distanced himself from any plot to remove Acting President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
A statement issued by Mohammed on Monday, July 10, said he would not have responded to the story that he was involved in a meeting to discuss how to remove Osinbajo but for the fact that the season the country is in now does not make silence golden.
He denied being in the know about any meeting to remove Osinbajo and never attended any, alleging that some opportunists in the All Progressives Congress, are behind the plot.
According to him, his trip outside the country was to observe his religious obligation and not for any political meeting.
He reiterated his commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party, adding that Osinbajo must be commended for displaying rare capability in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari, who is attending to his health in the United Kingdom.
He advised those spreading the rumour of a meeting to remove Osinbajo from office to concentrate on praying for the quick recovery of Buhari as Nigeria needs him now more than before.
