Police nab Suspected Killers of Catholic Cleric

THE Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Imo State police command has  arrested the suspected killers of Reverend father Jude Egbom of St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Amucha, Njaba Local Government Area.

The suspects allegedly killed the cleric and stole his vehicle on Monday night along Nkwerre-le Anara Road.

Dasuki Galadanchi, Imo State commissioner of police, who paraded the suspects – Chigozie  Uzoukwu, 33, and Peter Ochokwu, 21, an ex-convict for  arm robbery on Thursday,  September 13, said they were arrested in Nkwerre on September 11.

Decrying the killing of the cleric, Galadanchi said that no murderer will go unpunished, adding that he activated the Tactical Units of the command to arrest the suspects who were on the run.

According to him, the police also recovered the car of the deceased along with his traveling bag from the suspects.
