2020: Construction of roads, my top priority – Bagudu

GOV. Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, says roads construction will be one of his top priorities in 2020. Bagudu made the commitment while inspecting ongoing township road projects in Kimba, Jandutsi and Alelu in Jega Local Government Area of the state.

“In my policy thrust, construction of roads will be among my top priorities in 2020.

“The aim is to transform urban and rural areas, as well as raise the economic wellbeing of the populace,’’ he said.

The governor expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the roads and urged the contractors to adhere to specifications of their contractual agreements.

Bagudu reiterated his commitment to constructing more roads and providing social amenities across the 21 local government areas of the state.

“We constructed roads in Ambursa, Zauro Town, Gwadangwaji Township, Bayan Kara and Bayan Tasha.

“We are happy that we have put roads in Argungu Township, Zuru, Yauri and other local government areas in the state, and we are determined to do more,’’ he said.

The governor also promised farmers in the area that the state government would open more access roads in rural areas to facilitate movement of agricultural produce to desired destinations. (NAN)
