THE Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), on Wednesday, blamed the constant gridlock on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway on impatience on the part of motorists.

Mrs. Temitope Oseni, the Owode-Ijako Unit Commander of the Agency, made this observation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota, Ogun.

Oseni advised motorists to shun the culture of impunity and selfishness, adding that patience was the only way out of the perrenial traffic jam on the axis.

The unit commander said that the advice became necessary so as to reduce the people’s sufferings in such pathetic situations on the road.

She equally attributed the slowdown experienced by motorists on the road to some failed portions on the Owode-Ijako axis.

“The TRACE advises motorists against driving against the traffic in order to avoid unnecessary loss of lives,” she said.

According to her, there is nothing that kills faster than driving against the traffic. Oseni, however, lauded the Ogun Government’s efforts at rehabilitating the state roads, to make them motorable. (NAN)
