Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State assures people of the state of the government’s commitment to make life better 

THE Anambra State Government has commenced award of contracts for Awka inner roads to further transform the city into a befitting state capital. Governor Willie Obiano said this during his `Thank You Visit’ to the people of Awka North and South Local Government Areas.

Obiano urged all contractors handling various roads to speed up the construction so as to deliver them before the rainy season.

He urged the people to continue to support his administration and join hands toward realising the vision and mission of the state.

Obiano said the thank you visit was to commend them for their unprecedented solidarity, achieving landslide victory during the last governorship election in the state.

“I am here to thank you people for your support during the last Governorship Election. The 21/21 was realisable because of your efforts in supporting my administration.

“I urge you to continue supporting APGA government, especially to replicate the history of 21/21 in the upcoming elections.

“If this is done, I will repeat my visit to commend your efforts. Vote all APGA candidates,’’ he said.

Ferdinand Onwuje, the transition committee chairman, Awka North LGA, said that Obiano attracted meaningful projects to Awka North since he assumed office.

He confirmed that some dilapidated roads had been given attention to boost their agricultural activities.

Victor Oye, the national chairman, APGA, pleaded with aggrieved members of the party to eliminate all grudges and throw their support to APGA to achieve victory in the upcoming election.

Obiano used opportunity provided by the visit to present them with bags of rice, APGA uniforms and sundry items.
