Anambra invests ₦200m on health insurance scheme

ANAMBRA State government has invested ₦200 million on health insurance scheme to improve the health of workers and ensure prompt medical delivery.

Governor. Willie Obiano announced the passing of health insurance bill by the Anambra State House of Assembly.

The governor announced this during a holy mass to mark the 57th Independence Anniversary of the country, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral Awka, Anambra State.

He assumed that the state government would continue to provide every necessary arrangement to improve health services for the people of the state.

The governor said: “I have constituted a board to regulate the scheme.

“The board has since commenced work. So, avail yourself the opportunity to benefit from the scheme in all the local governments.  It is at the reasonable cost and in most cases free of charge.”

The scheme is expected to ameliorate the sufferings of the people, especially those in remote areas.
