CHRIS Okewulonu, the Chief of Staff to Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State has described the Court of Appeal judgment which confirmed Ihedioha as the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party primary election held last year as “Victory for due process, rule of law and the good people of Imo State.”

Okewulonu was reacting to the appellate court’s judgment which dismissed the appeal brought by the immediate past senator representing Imo West in the National Assembly, Samuel Anyanwu.

The lower court had earlier dismissed the same suit.

The Chief of Staff urged other litigants still at the tribunal to withdraw their cases against Ihedioha in the interest of the State.

He said, “Ihedioha’s victory is divine and anybody who truly loves Imo should desist from distracting the incumbent administration”.

He commended the judiciary for its forthrightness and reaffirming the wish of PDP members, who entrusted Ihedioha with their mandate.

Okewulonu said that the governor would run an all-inclusive administration which would meet the yearnings and aspirations of Imo people. – Punch
