Presidential candidate of Social Democratic Party, SDP, Mr Donald Duke lost to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji AtikuAbubakar at his own polling unit on Diamond Hill, Calabar.

Abubakar polled 291 votes to defeat his closest rival who polled 98 votes.

Similarly, the South South Zonal Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Ntufam Hilliard Eta also lost his polling unit; AME Zion P/S, Diamond, to Atiku.

Eta of APC, Duke and SDP’s governorship candidate, Eyo Ekpo, voted in the same polling unit but surprisingly, the PDP carried the day there.
