CAFE's skills acquisition training is free says Obiano

Ebelechukwu Obiano, wife of Anambra governor, has re-affirmed that trainings offered by the Caring Family Initiative, CAFE, are free of charge.

“Make use of the opportunity you have now to learn a skill free of charge at any of the training centres to better your life and that of your family.

“Registration for training is free,’’ she said this when she visited Anaku, Ayamelum Local Government Area  in continuation of her visit to all 21 LGAs of the state.

She added that her pet project the CAFE was set up to empower women by teaching them various skills and vocations that would help them fend for their families.

She commended the people for supporting the Obiano administration, assuring that the Government would see to the reconstruction of the dilapidated federal link road in the community.

Obiano urged the women to enrol in skills training of their choice in any of the centres in order to become skilfully empowered.

Ndidi Mezue, the Anambra State commissioner for Social Welfare Children & Women, commended the governor’s wife for her efforts toward empowering women in the state.

She recalled Obiano’s acts of generosity of clearing the hospital bills for a mother of quintuplets at God’s Mercy Hospital, Nnewi.

The commissioner commended Ayamelum people for their open and warm reception.

Kenneth Okolo, the Transition Committee chairman, Ayamelum, LGA, lauded Obiano’s kind gestures toward the people of the area especially, the poor, widows and the physically challenged.

“Your visit to the LGAs is an indication of your love for the people.’’

Rose Okolo, the wife of the TC Chairman, described Mrs Obiano as selfless mother committed to meeting the needs of her children.

Okolo on behalf of Ayamelum women thanked the governor’s wife for her motherly care and prayed for the well being of her family.

“The women of Ayamelum will remain grateful to the Obiano led Administration,’’ she said.

Presentation of food and gift items to the widows, orphans, physically challenged were part of the event.
