THE Christian Association of Nigerian Americans, CANAN, is holding a town hall meeting and gala night for members of the Nigerians community in the Houston, to be addressed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Ade Oyesile, executive director of the CANAN, said the town hall meeting would to give Nigerians in diaspora the rare opportunity to meet and rob minds with the nations’ vice president on activities and progress of the administration since it came to power about 17 months ago.

According to Oyesile, “this is an opportunity for Nigerians all over the USA to come together and dialogue with the vice president,” during the event that is scheduled to hold at Houston Marriot Westchase on Friday, October 28 in Huston.

The town hall meeting in a press statement signed by Williams Ekanem, CANAN media adviser, would be preceded by a business and investment forum to market the rich human and natural resources of the country that has until very recently been the highest oil producing country in sub Saharan Africa.

The investment forum is to be hosted by the Nigerian Initiative for Economic Development and it is to showcase the country’s potentials to individuals and businesses.

Expected at the investment forum are the Nigerian ministers of Housing, Health, Power, Agriculture and some state governors.

Also expected to attend the forum are CEOs from both Nigeria and US corporations, EXIM Bank, OPIC and other financial institutions and infrastructural development agencies from both countries.

Texas governor, mayor of Houston and officials from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development as well as Agriculture are expected to be there.
