THE Kebbi State Chief Judge, Justice Muhammad Suleiman, has pledged to sustain the support of the state judiciary for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the discharge of its duties.

Suleiman made the pledge when he received the state Sector Commander of FRSC, CC, Danasabe Lawal-Shehu, in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

He said that he was delighted to see the commander in his chamber, adding that the judiciary had been supporting the corps, especially in the speedy administration of justice to erring motorists when the need arose.

“The judiciary as a body has been giving support to FRSC since its inception, and we will continue to give the support for the progress of the corps and safety of our people,” Suleiman said.

He used the occasion to direct the Chief Registrar of the High Court in the state to issue a document officially giving a piece of land to FRSC by the judiciary.

“This is part of our support to the corps and we will do more whenever the need arises,” the chief judge said.

Earlier, Lawal-Shehu had said the visit was in line with FRSC’s strategic goal of sustaining stakeholders’ engagement.

He said that he was at the high court to deliver the message of the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi.

“The corps marshal appreciates the assistance the judge has been rendering to the command, especially in the speedy dispensation of cases involving FRSC and for facilitating the allocation of land for the building of a permanent office for the command,” Lawal-Shehu said.

The sector commander also solicited for more of such support and cooperation in order to achieve the corps mandate to Nigerians. (NAN)
