Anthony Ekemezie, community leader in Eziowele Idemili North Local Government Area, LGA,  has called on the state government to look into the condition of roads in rural areas.

Ekemezie told newsmen at Ogidi, Headquarters of ldemili North LG, that government had concentrated too much in improving township roads, and leaving most inter village roads unattended.

He commended Governor Willie Obiano administration for giant strides in road construction, urging town union leaders to liaise with the state government to salvage the poor condition of roads in rural areas.

“Some people will like to live in the village and from there go to work or go to their businesses in townships, but they cannot do so because of bad condition of roads,’’ he added.

He thanked the governor for the good work he was doing in Anambra generally.

Ekemezie, then, called for more support from Ndi Anambra to enable the governor to continue to deliver the much expected dividends of democracy.
