The club’s General Manager, Mr Pius Henwan, gave the advice in a statement on Saturday in Jos.

Lalong also directed workers in the state on Grade Level 1 to 12 to stay at home, except those rendering essential services and also asked that all religious gatherings should not have more than 50 persons.

According to Henwan, adhering to the government’s directives will go a long way in curbing the spread of the dreaded disease in the state.

He also called on the team’s supporters to adopt maximum safety measures, particularly personal hygiene and social distancing in order to contain the disease.

“I wish to urge our teaming supporters and Plateau residents to adhere to government’s directives to stay at home as a measure to curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic which is fast ravaging the world .

“Adhering to the government directives has become necessary in order to stop the spread the of the virus which is gradually affecting the country.

“Plateau residents, especially  our teeming should fans to adhere to the governor’s directive to enable you to celebrate with the team as we aim to win our second Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title at the end of the season,” he advised.

The general manager, however, assured that the current break being observed by players and clubs in the league as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic would not  affect the team’s chances of winning the league title.

In order to cushion the effect of the government’s directives, the Henwan distributed foodstuff to some inhabitants of Kangam, a suburb of Jos South Local Government Area of the state, where he resides

He called on individuals and organisations to complement government efforts by supporting the less privileged ones in the society who would be seriously affected by the lockdown
