A former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori, has called on people from Delta Central to start sourcing for credible candidate who will take over from the state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, in 2023.

Ibori made the call on Friday at the grand finale of the state governorship campaign rally held in Ika North-East Local Government Area of the state.

He urged the Urhobos to give peace a chance and allow Aniomas to complete their tenure.

Ibori said, “We will continue to say it that this is the turn of Anioma. We will support Okowa to complete two terms.

“All our brothers and sisters in Delta Central should please give peace a chance, they should tarry a while for the next four years and support Governor Okowa to complete two terms.”

Okowa, on his part, said the rotational principle had cemented the bond of unity in the state. – Punch
