MONICA Chidinma Eze, the founder and president of David Umahi Nweze Akubaraoha Ebonyi Transformation Agenda, DUNAETA, a vibrant, virile grassroots NGO based in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, which is at the fore front of the re-election bid of Governor Dave Nweze Umahi in 2019 has described the visit of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, a presidential aspirant for the PDP ticket, as historic. Eze said it also kick started his rescue mission of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, towards salvaging the nation from the hands of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Eze aka Ada Ebonyi described Abubakar as a great, consummate and detribalised Nigerian whose efforts in the past to lead this country was frustrated by some elements that wants to keep the  nation in perpetual slavery.

“I could recall that it was the period that Atiku Abubakar was the Vice President and Chairman of the National Economic Council of Nigeria that Nigeria witnessed the revolution in Communication sector that gave birth to GLO, MTN and other telecommunication giants that created millions of jobs and made communication better and easier for all Nigerian. I will like to state that if there is any Nigerian who is well prepared to salvage the country out of its present doldrums’ state, Atiku is that Nigerian,” she said.

Eze, who also doubles as a technical assistant, TA, on Media to Umahi described herself as Abubakar’s daughter as she claimed to have been born in Adamawa State the same birth place of the former VP not minding that the governor of Ebonyi State is her uncle.

She commended and congratulated the wonder working Umahi and the entire people of Ebonyi State for successful hosting her father and assured Nigerians that with Abubakar, the future of the country would be well secured as he has a blue print on how to attend to some of the pressing challenges currently facing the country.

Atiku’s impression on some of the great feats did not come to the DUNAETA President as a surprise as nobody who have visited Ebonyi some years past will not be shocked of the great transformation that have taken place in the State under the magical touch of Apostle Umahi.

Eze reported that according to Abubakar, “the impact of Governor David Umahi’s unprecedented footprints in infrastructural and economic development has speedily transformed the once called “dusty city”, to a huge tourist construction site and an attraction centre where people from different parts of the world now want to be acquainted with. The injected visible works of Umahi have spread vastly like wildfire and virus into the bloodstream of the nation.”

The Waziri Adamawa State further stated the future of Umahi of Ebonyi State in the politics of Nigeria is enviable which warranted his visit to the state and that he had no regret for coming to solicit his support for his candidature as the presidential aspirant for the PDP ticket.

Eze explained that on arrival of the former vice-president to Ebonyi State, he (Abubakar) took a working tour of some of the completed and ongoing projects done by Umahi in the state and impressed by the massive development in the state under the administration of Umahi. She said Abubakar applauded Umahi for his unprecedented dedication towards the development of the state.

He assured Ebonyians that there would be a turn round in the deteriorated system that President Buhari had placed Nigerians if only Ebonyians could give him their full support come 2019.

Eze stated that Abubakar’s Presidency in 2019 would set right the wrongs that the APC government had placed the country and embark upon policies that would go a long way to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.

She congratulated Emmanuel I. Obasi on his appointment as the state coordinator of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Organisation in Ebonyi State and promised to work with him to ensure the success of both the PDP in the state and the nation at large.
